Sichuan DS Iron and Steel Group

Case Study | Company: Sichuan DS Iron and Steel Group

Sichuan DS Iron and Steel Group owns a 4.6×35m diameter pellet production line with a daily output of 4200t and a compressive

strength of 2100 L/pellet. The thermal consumption is 13.3 standard coal per ton of pellets, NOx emissions are 50 mg/m³, and the

thermal system is unstable.

In response to the above situation, technicians from Zhonghe arrived at the site and gained a detailed understanding of the productprocess.

They accurately optimized and designed an SR-type multi-channel coal and gas co-firing low-NOx burner that met thcustomer's requirements.

The burner was put into operation in January this year.

The SR-type multi-channel coal and gas co-firing low-NOx burner added auxiliary combustion heating function to the grate cooler.

Through production and operation, the current capacity has reached over 130Wt/a, with an output increased to 5000t/d.

The compressive strength of the pellets has reached 2500L/pellet, and the thermal consumption is 12.1 standard coal per ton of

pellets. NOx emissions are reduced to 30mg/m³. Significant benefits have been realized, achieving energy saving, consumption

reduction, and efficiency improvement goals.

In this case, the Zhonghe SR-type multi-channel coal and gas co-firing low-NOx burner not only achieves significant energy saving

and consumption reduction effects but also demonstrates clear advantages in other aspects:

1. It fully combines coal powder and coal gas for combustion.

2. The combustion air assists in flame shape control through valve regulation.

3. The system parameters are stable, resulting in a more stable calcination thermal system.
