ZHONGHE Case | Ferro Nickel: Kalimantan Project, Indonesia

Indonesia Kalimantan Steel Co., Ltd. has four 4.8×100m laterite nickel rotary kilns, using RKEF reduction process, using neutralized mechanical and electrical SR2-16He/70YN five-channel pulverized coal burners, equipped with diesel air atomizing oil guns.

Zhonghe M&E according to local conditions, to provide customers with the most suitable combustion system solutions.

According to the hot and humid climate of the tropical rain forest in Indonesia all year round, and the actual situation of mainly using local lignite with low heating value, combined with the kiln type of the customer, a five-channel pulverized coal burner was tailored for the project, and it was equipped with secondary air duct, oil pump oil supply system and mobile car for the use of the owner.

The first line of the Indonesian Kalimantan project has been installed and positioned in August 2023, successfully ignited and put into operation. Up to now, three lines have been successfully put into operation.

After more than a year of stable operation, the ZHONGHE burners of the laterite nickel mine rotary kiln in Indonesia have shown the following obvious advantages:

1. The burner runs stably;

2. Good atomization of diesel oil gun, full combustion;

3. The use of mixed inferior pulverized coal can also keep the flame burning stable;

4. The burner adjustment is simple and easy to operate;

5. The primary air and pulverized coal channels are connected by hose, and the car is convenient to move and adjust the flame position in the kiln.
